Market in a minute for Dauphin County
The real estate market in Dauphin County, PA remains strong heading into the fall and winter.
The total number of new homes that entered the market has seen a slight decrease from 71 last week to 68 this week.
The total number of homes that went Pending/Under Contract dropped from 95 last week to 89 this week.
The number of homes sold this week is up to 130 from 121. This isn’t a surprise since consumers tend to like to close at the end of the month instead of the beginning or middle of the month.
There are a total of 377 homes that are available for sale as of this writing.
What is most interesting is the total number of price reductions, 59, which is higher and shows that homes can be over priced even in an extreme sellers market that we are in.
